For the person who brings everyone together
Everyone shares a little. Everyone hears music made from their own story. And everyone takes the recordings home.
Your people arrive. Someone writes down a memory of their father. Someone else writes a hope for the year ahead. Your aunt writes a single word.
Then, one by one, those few words become music, played live at the grand piano while the room listens. Usually there comes a moment when someone hears their own life come back to them, and the whole room goes quiet.
That’s what people talk about afterwards. Not the piano. Hearing someone they love turned into music, and then hearing their own.
“We had 10 family members ranging in age from 11 to 81… Over the span of the 90-minute concert, several of us were moved to tears, several times. Each of the 10 pieces of music are so different, and all are a perfect expression of the family member who shared.”
In my studio. Vancouver’s West End, six guests comfortably, eight at most. Guests take turns lying beneath the grand piano, so they feel the music as well as hear it.
In your home, or a venue you love. All you need is a real grand piano. I bring everything else.

$1,000 for the gathering, in my studio or online. Recordings for everyone are included.
At your home or venue, add $200 for travel, recording equipment and setup.
For ten people, that’s $100 each. Allow up to two and a half hours.

Does everyone have to share? No. Some people come simply to listen, and that’s a whole way to be there. There’s always a way to offer something without saying it aloud: a card, a text or the chat.
How many people? Up to about ten, everyone has a piece of their own. With more, the music comes from the whole room and from a few personal stories.
Online, how do we gather? Around one screen, each on your own device, or a mix. We’ll work out what suits your group.
